Where I Stood by UrbanRural-Photo Where I Stood by UrbanRural-Photo
finger tips across my skin like fog across the city...

across the street, take my hand, dance with me and never forget...

now just let me be...

Beautifully surreal - especially in the steam and clouds. I'd perhaps have been tempted to crop a bit more of the sky out though, and make it more 'widescreen' :D

Well, I think I will go back and re-edit and give that a shot. I think that will give it more of a dramatic feel. Thank you for the comment and the suggestion. That is what this page is all about.

Absolutely - I've been helped immeasurably by other people's comments on my work, so I'm happy to do my bit as well. :)

Good luck with the edit; I'll look out for it!

K I just got in and finish cleaning the computer and the house. 452 images from this morning's shoot. I will be editing for a bit.

Best of luck with yours.

Pollution is beautiful. It shows a city with character. Distinguishing a city that is on the forward move with prosperity. As opposed to an environmentally conscious city that is more interested in finding equanimity with the needs of its blundgeoning inhabitants.

Now that is a very deep point. Thank you for the comment.
That is so so true. I have lived in the middle of Alabama and I was hard press to get city shots. Hour drive to the city.

The fog is not always where you want it. All the fog days we had and this was the first of its kind.

hmm brilliant colours. The feel is interesting, like it should be something out of a computer graphic. I guess its the softness (or lack of the inherant sharpness i associate with your photography) especially on the needle which feels somewhat fuzzy. I like the feel of all the huge clouds which they create a heavy atmosphere!

The process that I use to clean up the sky is what does that. I am not a pro yet but with time I will get it.

Great timing Shelly.. did you stumble upon this or wait hours? I have a similar scene in my head that I run by every morning before work.. just haven't figured out where to set up the shot.. thanks for the inspiration :)

It was a stumble that paid off big. I had just dropped off my wife at work and was heading to the homestead but got the jones to take some pixs. Head to kerry park which I knew was above the fog and this blew me away. I laugh everytime I think, I was going home.

Truly a wonderful shot....utterly amazing!

At the first Starbucks. I was just over there Monday, they were giving away something. I was driving and looking for a location to shoot from.

I used to go to that Starbucks a lot. My wife loves the Pike Street Market. My best friend lives there in Tumwater and plays Seattle at times with his band.

Well I am looking for rain all next week (I've got 2 weeks before I am due back to work) I am hoping that I can shoot Pike then. The reflections of rain soaked street in the early morning light should be good. I will even capture that Starbucks for ya. I have one pix of in somewhere in my gallery but I am not a fan of it.

:wow: wow! This looks like some kind of surrealstic post-apocalyptic version of the city. At first glance I thought it was some kind of photo manip, but then I saw your icon and realized you don't do manips like that. So this must be the real deal. I guess you don't call yourself surrealeye for nuthin'!
