I just got off a 38:57 min phone call with Seagate about the 4 gig CF card that I had to send back to them back in Feb. Before this call, I have called them 3 time because they keep sending me the 8 gig CF card and not the one I purchased.
I know you are thinking, Shell you are a numb nuts they are giving you some thing better than what you had. So true but D70s only take a 4 gig drive at the moment. So I can't use it. I am going to be call Nikon in a sec to see if there are any plans to upgrade the software for the camera to take an 8 gig card.
Still I had to fight with these ass hats to get a 4 gig card sent to me. I had to tell them, if I get one more 8 gig card you guys can buy them back from me on Ebay. After holding for 10 min the poor guy tells me that they are not in stock but as soon as they are he will send me one.
It took 4 RMA number 3 boxs shipped to me to find out that the 4 gig card is not in stock. With Seagate's track record I am thinking that I will get another 8 gig card in about a week.
So anyone need a 8 gig card - cheap?
So I called Nikon:
Digital Technical Support
24hours a day 7 days a week
1-800-Nikon-UX or 1-800-645-6689
I asked if there were any plans for a firmware upgrade for my camera to use an 8 gig CF card. The guy on the phone stated that he did not know (this is good - cause he did not know and he told me he did not know) but I should keep and eye on the tech website, note me if you need the link its kind of long, which is the site for all Nikon cameras, gear and software updates. I am liking this guy more and more but he has not told me nothing that I did not already know. Still he gets the customer service award for the day.
